WHAT IS TAI CHI?
Tai Chi is the most famous and widely practised of all
Chinese martial arts. Its movements are gentle, fluid, graceful and well
balanced and promote complete harmony of body and mind. No experience is
necessary but when practised regularly, Tai Chi provides the mental and physical
relaxation so essential in our modern stress-filled lives.
Tai Chi has long been recognised as an
effective tool for improving general health and has been shown to accelerate
healing and impart longevity.
It is considered suitable for almost
anyone of any age and level of fitness because Tai Chi has evolved into several
styles with different approaches and can be adjusted to suit individuals. More
importantly, Tai Chi requires little room and no special equipment.
