I have been training a year and a bit. I started Tai Chi training
because my mother was doing it and said it was really good and Master Alex
showed the video which included brick breaking. I am now training once
a week.

Tai Chi helped me a lot with my soccer, like turning the ball around
with the feet and taking shots as well, using the hip, getting
underneath the ball. I stretch a lot more, I can touch my toes now,
barely able to get past the knees before I started. Strength has
improved through holding arms out, better than weight training.

I have a lot more concentration, because you have to listen to learn
the techniques. If you don't listen you don't know how to do it and you
have to watch the feet moving with the arms moving.
I am beginning to understand Chi and the drawing of energy from the

cardinal compass points. I have shown my friends some of the holds and
techniques, they are interested.  I will continue doing tai chi as I am

now getting really into it and starting on the sword.

I have found that even after a few months of  Tai Chi, I have an increased amount of flexibility and less tension in the back and shoulders.
As a dentist, I am occupationally afflicted with bad neck and back posture at time. My hands hurt from fine motor coordination and my neck tends to crack after neck rotation.
All of those symptoms have 90% improved in 2 months.
I had a car accident 5 years ago and have refrained from removing teeth due to hand pain and post-treatment  hand tremors.  After some practice, I can move chi to my hands and I can remove teeth like before, with minimal or no discomfort and no tremors at all afterwards. I believe that tai chi should be taught in dental school as it is undoubtedly a genuine resource for prevention of occupational health issues and facilitation of treatment towards patients due to less stressed dentists and more controlled power / fine motor coordination.
Thank you Master Alex Galvan for sharing this magnificent gift,
Regards
Dr John Wells
